I'm really excited to announce that we will be ending 2022 with Queer Trash at Tubby's on December 4, the first Sunday of the month. Queer Trash is a presenting collective and most of their focus has been in the Boroughs, bringing together queer experimental musicians and artists in a variety of spaces from DIY to MoMA PS1. And while I've worked with some of these musicians before, the context here is a little different and a bit more specific.

The "main event" is the duo of guitarist Ava Mendoza and violinist gabby fluke-mogul, a powerful pairing if there ever was one, rangy and incisive in a celebration of contrasts. I am a big fan of both artists and this will be my first time hearing them together.

The New York Review of Cocksucking (Michael Foster & Richard Kamerman duo) are also something to look forward to -- I'd go so far as to say that experiencing their work live several years ago was truly pivotal for me in terms of opening up my expectations and allowing a strong degree of surreality (okay, let's just call it what it is: queerness) into my broader listening perspective and I've not been the same since.

Opening the evening will be Sarah Hennies performing "Everything Else," an immersive piece for four or more performers, and she will be joined by three very special guests from Kingston's creative & sonic community. Heavy.
